FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the device (13) and method for temporary power increase of at least the first turbine engine (5A). The device (13) comprises a cooling liquid tank (14), a first injection circuit (16A) connected to said tank (14) and leading to at least one nozzle (22) configured to be installed upstream of at least one compressor stage (8) of the first turbine engine (5A). This first injection circuit (16A) comprises a first passage valve (23) configured for opening when pressure exceeds predetermined threshold compared to pressure downstream of the at least one compressor stage (8) of the second turbine engine (5B), to enable cooling liquid to flow towards said nozzle (22) of the first injection circuit (16A).
EFFECT: automatic and rapid time increase in engine power is achieved to compensate failure of the other engine, minimisation of additional weight.
