FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in supercharged internal combustion engines comprising turbochargers. Engine system includes an engine, turbocharger (161), (162), (164) and controller (12). Turbocharger (161), (162), (164) is connected to the engine. Turbocharger (161), (162), (164) includes device (170), (171) for increasing and reducing the rotational resistance of the turbocharger made as an electric machine. Controller (12) contains commands stored in a non-short-term memory to control the rotational resistance of turbocharger (161), (162), (164) by means of the memory depending on the after-treatment device temperature. Controller (12) contains additional commands for reducing the rotational resistance of turbocharger (161), (162), (164) by means of the memory in response to a reduction in the barometric pressure. Controller (12) contains additional commands for opening the bypass valve in response to the fact that the engine air flow is lower than the required engine air flow, when the after-treatment device temperature is below the threshold value. Rotational resistance of turbocharger (161), (162), (164) is regulated by the memory. Controller (12) contains additional commands for reducing the rotational resistance of turbocharger (161), (162), (164) by means of the memory in response to the fact that the after-treatment device temperature is above the threshold value. Embodiment of the engine system and a method for controlling the engine are disclosed.
EFFECT: technical result is reducing the time required for the after-treatment device to reach the operating temperature.
