SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electric power, in particular to methods for controlling the stabilization of devices for diagnosing the state of overhead power lines. Method of controlling the stabilization of an aircraft of a helicopter type consists in, that the position of the aircraft on the rope, power wire or lightning wire is adjusted by setting the difference between the speeds of rotation of at least two pairs of propellers, located on the aircraft on both sides of the rope. In this case, a change in the angle of inclination of the aircraft relative to the plane perpendicular to the plane of motion of the aircraft, are produced by varying the rotational speed of the respective pair of propellers, so that increasing the rotational speed of the pair of propellers, located on the tilt side, as well as a decrease in the speed of rotation of a pair of propellers located on the opposite side, causes a proportional decrease in the angle of inclination of the aircraft, and vice versa. Pairs of propellers are connected to the frame either rigidly or with the help of hinges to ensure their folding.

EFFECT: stable movement of the aircraft along the rope is ensured.
