FIELD: oil refining; petrochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil refining and petrochemistry, in particular to a method for producing a dispersant additive for diesel fuel. Metathesis copolymerization of functionalized norbornene and cyclo-olefin and 1-hexene as a chain transfer agent is being carried out in the presence of a metal complex dialkyl ruthenium catalyst in one stage in toluene. Reaction is carried out for 8–23 hours at a temperature of 25–70 °C. Functionalized norbornene: cycloolefin ratio is from 1:15 to 1:1, the catalyst: olefins ratio in the reaction mixture is from 1:300,000 to 1:15,000. Reaction mixture is being then passed through an alumina layer, the filtrate is being evaporated to obtain the desired product.
EFFECT: technical result is a simplified process due to the one-stage synthesis of the dispersant additive, an increased yield of the desired product at 95 wt % with a minimum consumption of the ruthenium catalyst.
