FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the modification of the tool surface from high-speed steels and hard alloys, in particular to the method for forming a wear-resistant coating on the hard alloy surface with a microhardness of at least 2800 kg/mm2, and can be used for cold and hot machining, for example, by cutting metals and metal alloys used in engineering and mining. Consistent double grinding of hard alloys with diamond powder is carried out. At the first grinding, diamond powder ASM 40/28 is used, and for the second grinding diamond powder ASM 14/10 is used.
EFFECT: technical result is in simplification of the detection method.
