FIELD: astronautics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to reservation of electronic equipment. For this purpose, proposed is a method of adaptive reservation of electronic instrument units of spacecraft on-board equipment under influence of ionizing radiation which comprises installation of identical prime and spare units, a dose detector and a data collection and processing unit in an electronic device, wherein according to the results of tests for specific microcircuits, the dependence of the probability of occurrence of a single failure on the level of the accumulated dose, as well as the dependence of the maximum absorbed dose on the electrical operating mode are the previously determined, in the process readings of the dose detector are recorded and the integral dose of ionizing radiation is calculated and based on the information on the integral dose, control signals are generated to switch work from the prime unit to the spare one and vice versa to evenly distribute the accumulated dose to each of the units.
EFFECT: technical result is a long period of active existence of the electronic device under conditions of ionizing radiation.
