FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: method of hydrothermal insulation of pipes is carried out in factory conditions by foamed polymeric materials with a mineral filler in a metal split mould. A pipe is installed in the split mould. The foam polymeric composition is poured on the top of the pipe so that the reaction mixture first covers the pipe surface and then flows down to the mould bottom and foams after closing the mould. The pipe in the mould is kept until the foam polymeric composition is fully cured, and unloaded from the mould.

EFFECT: improving the hydrothermal insulation quality occurs as a result of the porosity reduction and the density increase of the inner layer of the insulation.
