FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for a signaling cover of a local area with a road and can be used in cases of the use of the detecting means with a microwire sensitive element (CO), which determines the distance to the point where the microwire breaks off on the basis of the reflectometric method. Method consists in deploying across the road and the area adjacent to it, a microwire sensitive element into two boundaries; setting the distance between the boundaries at least two distances passable along the road by a trespasser with maximum speed during the transition of the detection means from the alarm mode to the standby mode; connecting the microwire to the CO; to ensure the transmission of an alarm signal from the CO to the collection and processing system when a trespasser breaks the microwire; the CO transition after the alarm signal transmission to the standby mode automatically; application of the algorithm for determining the direction of the trespasser motion on the basis of comparing the number of arrivals to the system for alarms collecting and processing (one or two signals) for a fixed interval of time with a priori known sequence of crossing the boundaries of the trespasser while driving on the road in each of the possible directions and the order of succession of these boundaries along the length of the microwire from the CO.

EFFECT: invention provides an opportunity to determine the direction of motion of a detected trespasser using one CO.
