SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for locating electrically conductive objects, such as a casing string of a borehole or pipelines located beneath the earth's surface. In particular, a method for locating several boreholes is provided, including: a step of exciting the first electric current in the first borehole; the step of exciting the second electric current in the second borehole; the step of locating the device for the range measuring at a remote location with respect to the first and second boreholes; the step of receiving and recording the magnetic field at a remote location by means of receivers provided on the ranging instrument; and a step of measuring at least one borehole parameter of each of the first boreholes and the second borehole based on the magnetic field received by the ranging instrument.
EFFECT: technical result is to improve the accuracy of locating the borehole.
