SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hybrid vehicles. Device for determining failure of a hybrid vehicle comprises means for calculating a target torque overload capacity; means for calculating actual torque of the engine and the electric motor; means for calculating the torque deviation between the target torque overload capacity and the sum of the actual engine torque and the actual torque of the motor. Failure determination device determines the occurrence of failure when the clutch engages, when the torque deviation becomes greater than a first fault determination value during control of smooth engagement/disengagement of the clutch.
EFFECT: solution allows to determine clutch failure.
