SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to the control of the properties of the fabric in the processing of clothing. Tissue type sensor (1) is disclosed to determine the type of tissue, a device comprising a tissue type sensor, and a method for determining the type of tissue using tissue type sensor (1). Tissue type sensor (1) comprises first structural element (2) comprising first measuring surface (3) and second structural member (4) comprising second measuring surface (5). First structural element (2) and second structural element (4) move relative to each other to form a closed configuration in which first measuring surface (3) and second measuring surface (5) retain the fabric. Tissue type sensor (1) also comprises thickness measurement mechanism (6) for measuring the thickness of the fabric when the fabric is held between first measurement surface (3) and second measurement surface (5). Tissue type sensor (1) also comprises processing unit (7) connected to thickness measurement mechanism (6) and at least one of first measurement surface (3) and second measurement surface (5). At least one of first measurement surface (3) and second measuring surface (5) is configured to determine the tissue characteristic. Processing unit (7) is configured to determine the type of fabric based on the thickness of the fabric and the characteristics of the fabric.

EFFECT: technical result consists in optimizing the parameters of tissue processing by determining the type of tissue.
