FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to chemistry and petrochemical production and can be used for the production of compounds used in the construction of protective coatings when conducting repair (re-insulation) of main pipelines in route conditions, in road construction as the main component of binder in the preparation of asphalt mixtures, for the anticorrosion treatment of the foundations and internal cavities of frame pipes of trolley buses, buses, subway cars and other types of passenger and freight transport. Method for producing an insulating composition comprises mixing, in a reactor, bitumen and an absorbent while heating, until a homogeneous mixture is obtained, followed by addition of an oxidant into the resulting mixture and carrying out the process of stabilising the mixture by holding at a higher temperature. When mixing bitumen and the absorbent, a polysiloxane liquid is further added into the reactor. Oxidising agent used is concentrated sulphuric and orthophosphoric acid. Addition of the oxidant begins when the temperature of the mixture reaches 120 °C and is carried out for 0.5–1 hour, and stabilisation is carried out by continuously mixing components at a temperature of 150–160 °C for 2–3 hours. Reaction mixture is recirculated during addition of oxidant and stabilisation. Components of the mixture are taken in the following ratio, wt%: bitumen 86–91; absorbent 5–10; polysiloxane liquid 0.001–0.01; sulphuric acid 1–1.5; orthophosphoric acid 2.5–3. In one embodiment of the method, instead of polysiloxane liquid prior to the step of adding the oxidant, ash microspheres are introduced into the reactor in an amount of 2–3 wt%. In another embodiment, asphalt is used as a feedstock in place of bitumen, said asphalt being in a mixture with an aromatic extract of selective purification of petroleum distillates, which is introduced into the reactor in an amount of 75–80 wt%.
EFFECT: technical result consists in eliminating the effervescence of the reaction mixture, which increases the output of the desired product while maintaining its high quality, and also reduces the duration of the process and thereby providing cheap manufacture of an insulating composition on an industrial scale.
