FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to organic chemistry, particularly to a process for the preparation of 2-acyl(aroyl)-7-imino-6-oxabicyclo[3.2.1]octane-1,8,8-tricarbonitriles of general formula (1), where R=Me (1a); R=Ph (1b); R=p-Tol (1c); R=p-PhO-C6H4 (1d), which be used in fine organic synthesis, and also as biologically active compounds. Method comprises mixing a solution of tetracyanoethylene and the corresponding 1,5-dicarbonyl compound in equimolar amounts in 1,4-dioxane at room temperature in the presence of a catalytic amount of hydrochloric acid. At the end of the reaction, the reaction mass is diluted with cold water (3–5 °C), the precipitate formed is filtered off, then recrystallised from ethanol.

EFFECT: proposed method enables to obtain novel 2-acyl(aroyl)-7-imino-6-oxabicyclo[3_2_1]octane-1,8,8-tricarbonitriles in good yields.
