PREDICT THE RISK OF MALIGNANCY OF THE NODAL FORMATIONS IN PATIENTS WITH ENDOCRINOLOGICAL DISEASES Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC G01N33/53

Abstract RU 2657417 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to oncology, and can be used to predict the risk of malignancy of the nodal formations in patients with endocrinological diseases. Method includes laboratory testing of peripheral venous blood, while the culture of normal human skin fibroblasts (FBS) is cultured as a control. Add 100 mcl of medium, FBS and isotope labeled with C14 glucose up to final concentration 1.8–2.2 mg/L of medium to all samples, add in addition the serum obtained in blood to the test samples up to 10 % of the medium. Day later record the radioactivity of the samples, the growth-stimulating activity being calculated as a percentage of the ratio of the number of recorded radio impulses in the test samples to the number of radio impulses in the control and, if the growth-stimulating activity is 120 % and higher, the risk of malignancy of the nodal formations can be predicted.

EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to increase the accuracy and reliability of predicting the risk of malignant nodal formation in patients with endocrinological diseases by detecting a certain threshold level of growth stimulating activity in the patient's blood serum.
