SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine and relates to a therapeutic composition for reducing inflammation of a tissue containing a histostyl-tRNA synthetase (HRS) polypeptide of 500 to 506 amino acids in length, which consists of SEQ ID NO: 70 (HRS (1-506)) or differs from SEQ ID NO: 70 by deletion and/or conservative substitution of 1-6 amino acids and does not contain residues 507-509 of SEQ ID NO: 1, wherein: a) the HRS polypeptide is at least 95% pure, b) the HRS polypeptide is less than 5% aggregated and c) the composition has endotoxin levels of less than 10 EE/mg of protein. Group of inventions also relates to a method for treating a disease associated with an autoantibody, comprising administering to said individual in need thereof said composition; method for reducing tissue inflammation comprising administering to said individual in need of said composition.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides a significant improvement in the physical and biological characteristics of the histidine-tRNA synthetase polypeptide.
