SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of measurement technology and relates to an apparatus, method and system for measuring an electrical discharge, characterised by a discharge current value, wherein the electric discharge causes a corresponding emission of optical radiation. Method includes storing predetermined calibration data containing reference quantitative indices associated with the magnitude of electrical discharges and their corresponding detector parameters, obtaining and processing a specific detector parameter by means of calibration data, detecting an electric discharge and determining the quantitative index associated with the value of the detected electric discharge. Detector parameters are operating parameters associated with the optical detector.

EFFECT: technical result consists in enabling quantitative evaluation of electric discharge and higher accuracy of measurements.
