SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, in particular to oncology, and is intended for the prognosis of breast cancer using a digital image of a histological preparation prepared from a tumor tissue sample. Perform automatically count the number of tumor cells in the digital field of view. Based on the counted number of tumor cells in the extracted digital fields of vision and the calculated area of these digital fields of vision, determine the average value of the cell density reduced to 1 mm2 area of the studied histological preparation. Use the obtained value as a prognostic parameter. If the predicted parameter is less than 3,000 cells/mm2 predict a favorable outcome of the disease.
EFFECT: invention provides a simplification and cost-cutting of method for predicting breast cancer.
