FIELD: disintegrators and crushing devices.
SUBSTANCE: method of splitting the oval-spherical ice granules includes crushing ice to the size of the seed crystals, loading the latter into the circulation layer with air supply at temperature below 0 °C, irrigation with water with a temperature of 0.1–5 °C so that the part of the finished oval-spherical pellets are split first in half, and then into 3-4 fragments heated to temperature of 120–250 °C an electric current knives, immersing the latter in granules by 0.12–0.37 diameter. Splitting device for oval-spherical ice granules contains knives, saddles with notches. Recess of the central seat is provided with guides, and the blades are heated by an electric current to temperature of 120–150 °C with the possibility of reciprocating motion into the granules by 0.12–0.37 of the diameter of the granule.
EFFECT: use of this group of inventions ensures the achievement of the technical result, that consists in the elimination of excessive destruction of the granules.
