FIELD: robotics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a motor-driven hinge for the mobile connection of elements of an humanoid robot. Hinge comprises an electric rotary motor comprising a fixed part for connection to a first structural element, and a movable part that can be driven with respect to the fixed part and is intended to be connected to a second structural element with respect to the first structural element, a brake device acting on the movable part of the motor by spring action, to prevent movement of the movable part relative to the fixed part, an actuator configured to move the brake device, counteracting the spring effect, so as to release the movable part of the motor from the brake device and allow the motor to drive the movable part with respect to the fixed part.
EFFECT: invention provides high reliability of using humanoid robots.
