FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, specifically to surgical instruments. Surgical instrument comprises a shaft, an end effector extending distally from the shaft, and a housing extending proximally from the shaft. Housing comprises a first shroud portion, a second shroud portion, a working assembly and at least one securing member. Working assembly is nested in the first shroud portion. Working assembly comprises a guide and is detachable from the first shroud portion. Second shroud portion is removably attached to the first shroud portion to enable the working assembly to be detached from the first shroud portion. At least one securing member is engaged with the first shroud portion prior to attachment of the working assembly to the first shroud portion and is movable along the guide. At least one securing member is movable to attach the working assembly to the first shroud portion. Working assembly comprises a motor. First shroud portion comprises a motor housing compartment adapted to receive the motor, and wherein at least one securing member comprises a motor mounting member movable to secure the motor in the motor housing compartment. Body for use with said surgical instrument, the surgical instrument including a shaft distally extending from the body and an end effector extending distally from the shaft. Body comprises a detachable working assembly, a first shroud portion, a second shroud portion and at least one securing member. Detachable working assembly comprises a guide. First shroud portion is arranged to accommodate the detachable working assembly. Second shroud portion is removably attached to the first shroud portion to enable detachment of the detachable working assembly from the first shroud portion. At least one securing member is engaged with the first shroud portion before the detachable working assembly is connected to the first shroud portion and is movable along the guide. At least one securing member is movable to attach the detachable working assembly to the first shroud portion. Working assembly comprises a motor. First shroud portion comprises a motor housing compartment adapted to receive the motor, and wherein at least one securing member comprises a motor mounting member movable to secure the motor in the motor housing compartment.
