FIELD: smoking accessories.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a mouthpiece for a smoking article, comprising polylactic acid, and to a smoking article comprising such a mouthpiece. Smoking article comprises: an aerosol-forming substrate; and a mouthpiece attached to the aerosol generating substrate and comprising a segment comprising a filter material comprising a plurality of fibres formed from a mixture comprising at least about 80 % by weight of polylactic acid; less than about 15 % by weight of polyglycolic acid; and less than about 10 % by weight of poly-(L)-lactic acid; and an additive for reducing the amount of phenols; the mouthpiece further comprising one or more wrappers surrounding said segment, said one or more wrappers having a total specific weight of about 50 grams per square metre (g×m-2).
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is easier decomposition of the filter.
