SUBSTANCE: invention relates to digital modelling. Technical result is achieved due to the fact that the method comprises defining an elementary volume; filling the volume with a plurality of digital elements modelling elements of fibres of composite material, and wherein each digital element extends longitudinally along a main axis, wherein during geometric adaptation, at least one portion of the digital element, used to fill the elementary volume, is subjected to a deformation different from the inclination of its longitudinal axis relative to the main axis of said digital element.
EFFECT: technical result is providing digital reconstruction of a representative elementary volume of a composite material, which enables to achieve a high degree of filling and provides adaptation to various types of composite material, in particular, to composite DFC materials.
