FIELD: food industry; veterinary medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to food industry, veterinary medicine and plant cultivation. Method for isolating hordecin from barley grain, consisting in grinding barley grain, two-step extraction, and concentrating in vacuum. In this case grains of barley are previously disinfected with thymol, mixed and moistened with water at a temperature of 12–17 °C to 43–48 % moisture content, then germinate for 2 days at a temperature of +24 °C with periodic mixing and water change, after which the sprouted grain is dried and ground together with sprouts. Next, the first stage of raw material extraction is carried out with a mixture of diethyl ether and 3 % hydrochloric acid in the feed-extractant ratio 1:2, and then the second extraction stage is carried out and the hordecin is separated from the ether layer and the carbonate fraction.
EFFECT: invention allows to increase the yield of the substance, to reduce the volume of acid and diethyl ether by 26 % without loss of yield, and also to reduce the extraction time of gordecin from the raw material to 12 hours and intensify the process.
