FIELD: fat-and-oil industry.
SUBSTANCE: use of short-path evaporation for reducing from deodorized triglyceride oils the content of propanol components selected from chloropropanol fatty acid esters, cpoxypropanol fatty acid esters, and combinations thereof in deodorized triglyceride oils. Short path evaporation is performed at a pressure belo 1 mbar. Method for removing propanol components selected from chloropropanol, chloropropanol fatty acid esters, epoxypropanol, epoxypropanol fatty acid esters, and combinations of two or more thereof, comprising the steps of: purification of triglyceride oil, discoloration of purified triglyceride oil, deodorization of purified decolorized triglyceride oil, evaporation on the shortest path of purified, decolorized and deodorized oil at a pressure of less than 1 mbar.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain a simple, mild but effective method for removing unwanted propanol esters of fatty acids.
