FIELD: fat and oil industry.

SUBSTANCE: method for production of edible oil, comprising a step of passing deodorized oil into reactor (40; 140) converting glycidyl ether for hydrolysis of epoxy binder glycidyl ether in the presence of an acid catalyst, thereby reducing amount of 3- and 2-monochloropropanediol (MCPD), esters of 3- and 2-monochloropropanedion-fatty acid and glycidyl ethers in edible oil, hydrolysis is carried out by bringing refined or modified edible oil into contact with a fixed layer of porous bodies of more than 0.5 mm, containing an acid catalyst containing at least one of aluminosilicate, alumina and gamma-alumina. Food oil production system containing deodorizer and deodorant downstream equipment for reduction of amount of 3- and 2-monochloropropanediol (MCPD), esters of 3- and 2-monochloropropanedion-fatty acid and glycidyl ethers in refined or modified edible oil, said equipment contains a reaction vessel containing a fixed layer of porous bodies of more than 0.5 mm, containing an acid catalyst containing at least one of aluminosilicate, alumina and gamma-alumina. System also includes a second processing unit configured to receive refined or modified edible oil originating from the reaction vessel, wherein the second processing unit is a refining unit, such as a deodoriser or stripping column, preferably a stripping column, more preferably a countercurrent thin-film stripper.

EFFECT: invention allows to eliminate losses of oil associated with suspended bleaching clay, as well as eliminate the need for filters to remove suspended bleaching clay.
