FIELD: biochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biochemistry, in particular to a genetically modified mouse that expresses human IL-6, to a mouse that expresses human IL-6 and one additional human polypeptide selected from human M-CSF, human IL-3, human GM-CSF, human SIRPα and human TPO, as well as to a mouse that expresses human IL-6 and SIRPα, human M-CSF, human IL-3, human GM-CSF and human TPO. Also, disclosed is a method for obtaining an animal model for the development and functioning of a human B cell, including transplanting a population of human hematopoietic cells from a genetically modified mouse, which is immunodeficient and contains the nucleic acid encoding human IL-6. Also, the invention relates to a method for producing an antigen-binding protein using a mouse expressing human IL-6.
EFFECT: invention can be effectively used to model the development, function or disease of human hematopoietic cells.
