FIELD: biochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biochemistry, in particular to a genetically modified mouse that expresses a mature human IL-15 polypeptide, in the genome of which a mouse genomic fragment containing the sequences of exons 3, 4, 5 and 6 of mouse IL-15 is replaced in an endogenous mouse IL-15 locus, that encode a mature mouse IL-15 polypeptide, into a human genomic fragment containing the 3-6th exons of the human IL-15 gene and encoding a mature human IL-15 polypeptide. Also disclosed is a method for producing a genetically modified mouse, comprising modifying the mouse genome by replacing a mouse genomic fragment containing sequences of exons 3, 4, 5, and 6 of mouse IL-15, that encode a mature mouse IL-15 polypeptide into an endogenous mouse IL-15 locus on a human genomic fragment containing the 3-6th exons of human IL-15.
EFFECT: invention allows for efficient expression of a mature human IL-15 polypeptide in a mouse.
