SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for screening a candidate substance for human haemopoietic cell toxicity. Method comprises contacting a first humanised M-CSF mouse with a candidate substance, wherein the first humanised M-CSF mouse is grafted with human hematopoietic cells, and comparing the viability and/or function of the human hematopoietic cells in the first humanized M-CSF mouse in contact with the candidate substance, with viability and/or function of human hematopoietic cells in a second humanized M-CSF mouse, which is grafted with human hematopoietic cells, but which is not in contact with a candidate substance.
EFFECT: invention is effective for screening a candidate substance for toxicity with respect to human hematopoietic cells.
