FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology, in particular to a method for screening of a candidate agent for a capability of modulating the development and/or activity of hematopoietic cells. The method provides for the use of an immune-deficiency mouse that is grafted with human hematopoietic cells and contains nucleic acid encoding human IL-6, where nucleic acid encoding human IL-6 is functionally connected to a mouse IL-6 promotor in a mouse locus.
EFFECT: invention is effective for screening of a candidate agent for a capability of modulating the development and/or activity of hematopoietic cells.
