SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of cell biology, in particular to the differentiation of the population of cells of the posterior segment of the anterior intestine into the population of progenitor cells of the endocrine pancreatic cells. Method includes the cultivation of a population of cells of the posterior segment of the anterior intestine, obtained from human embryonic stem cell lines H1, H7, H9 or SA002 or non-embryonic cells expressing at least one of the following markers: ABCG2, cripto, CD9, FOXD3, CONNEXIN43, CONNEXIN45, OCT4, SOX2, NANOG, HTERT, UTF1, ZFP42, SSEA-3, SSEA-4, Tra 1-60 and Tra 1-81, in DMEM or MCDB-131 media containing a high concentration of glucose, supplemented with a CYP26A inhibitor.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the efficiency of differentiation of the cells of the posterior segment of the anterior intestine into the progenitor cells of the endocrine cells of the pancreas.
