FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to plants for producing hydrogen by steam reforming. Proposed installation includes a reactor with a steam reforming catalyst, which houses the site of selective hydrogen evolution with a hydrogen-selective partition and a heating unit for an oxidation catalyst reactor, also containing a raw material heating unit consisting of an oxidation unit and a heat exchange unit, and an oxygen-containing gas supply system with a gas blower, a cooler and a recovery heat exchanger. When the unit is running, the water-hydrocarbon feed mixture is heated in the refrigerator and heat exchange unit and sent to the reactor, where, upon contact with a steam reforming catalyst, synthesis gas is formed containing hydrogen, which diffuses through the hydrogen-selective partition and is removed from the plant. Hydrogen depleted synthesis gas is removed in two streams. First stream is sent to the oxidation unit, where, in the presence of a catalyst, it is oxidized with part of the oxygen-containing gas, and the resulting cooled exhaust gas is removed from the installation. Second stream of hydrogen-depleted synthesis gas is sent to the heating unit of the reactor, where in the presence of an oxidation catalyst, contact is made with the remaining part of the oxygen-containing gas supplied through a switchgear using a gas-blower after heating in a recuperative heat exchanger. Heat released during the synthesis of synthesis gas heats the steam reforming catalyst, and the resulting off-gas is cooled in a recovery heat exchanger and a refrigerator and mixed with air to obtain an oxygen-containing gas. Balance off-gas is discharged after cooling in the refrigerator.
EFFECT: invention allows to simplify the device and reduce the temperature in the reactor.
