SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to therapeutic dentistry, and is intended to detect the orifice of the second mesio-buccal canal of the tooth in the molars of the upper jaw. Detection of the second mesio-buccal canal is one of the important steps in the root canal treatment of the maxillary molars. Hard tissues of the tooth is dissected by diamond spherical boron. Open the cavity of the tooth, creating endodontic access, produce irrigation of the tooth cavity by 3 % sodium hypochlorite. In this case, endodontic access to the cavity of the tooth is given a diamond shape. Border between the walls and the bottom of the pulp chamber from the orifice of the first mesio-buccal root canal to the orifice of the palatal root canal is stained with a caries marker and then washed off. On the border of the bottom and walls of the cavity of the tooth determine the painted groove, which is a groove in the dentin. Groove is probed with an endodontic probe, localizing the orifice of the second mesio-buccal root canal.

EFFECT: method allows to determine the location of the orifice of the second mesio-buccal root canal in the molars of the upper jaw.
