FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: there is involved computed tomography of an examined tooth, exposure of a dental cavity, impression, pouring and scanning of a crown portion of the set-up examined tooth. The secondary root canal is to be found by aligning the images formed by computed tomography of the examined tooth and scanning of its crown portion. That is followed by computer generated simulation of a three-dimensional image of a cone-holed mould aligned with the secondary canal orifice. The mould is formed to be put on the examined tooth, and the secondary canal orifice is localised through the formed hole in the mould on the bottom of the dental cavity with using an endodontal instrument.

EFFECT: method enables accurate finding of the secondary root canal orifice and localising it with the use of the endodontal instrument.
