METHOD FOR EVALUATING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF VITREOLYSIS OF VITREOUS OPACITIES Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61B3/00 A61F9/00

Abstract RU 2674926 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used to assess the effectiveness of vitreolysis of vitreous opacities. Method consists in identifying opacities in the vitreous body, determining their location and calculating the index of darkening. To detect opacities in the vitreous body, photographic registration of the vitreous opacities on the background of the fundus in the infrared mode is used, which is carried out before and after the performed treatment. According to the results of photographic recording of the fundus determine the area of turbidity. Colorimetric analysis is carried out on the scale of the fundus background brightness and the average color of the selected areas of cloudiness in the graphical editor and the darkening indicator is determined as the difference between the brightness of the fundus background color and the brightness of the average color of cloudiness. Carry out the calculation of the intensity index of the darkening as the product of the obtained darkening indicator by the cloud area and with a decrease in the values of the darkening index and the intensity index of the darkening and the approach of these values to zero, corresponding to the values of these indicators of a healthy eye, the effectiveness of the treatment is judged.

EFFECT: invention provides an accurate quantitative assessment of the state of cloudiness before and after treatment.
