FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the means of initiation. Heat-resistant electric igniter contains a housing, a sealed lead-in with integrated electrical leads, a main igniter and initiating charges from a heat-resistant high-calorific pyrotechnic composition, an initiator attached to electrical leads. Main igniter charge is made from a composition containing copper oxide (CuO), aluminum (Al), and the initiating charge is made from a high density composition containing boron (B) and titanium (Ti) with an axial height determined by the formula h=(9–15)⋅Di, where Di – diameter of the initiator. Igniter is designed as an incandescent bridge. Bridge is made in the form of a layer of resistive material deposited on a dielectric plate.

EFFECT: device allows to increase safety and heat resistance while maintaining its high initiating ability.
