FIELD: blasting operations; initiating means.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to initiating means and can be used in blasting operations in order to increase their safety. Heat-resistant initiator consists of a housing accommodating insert of dielectric material. In the insert there is a charge from heat-resistant high-caloric pyrotechnic composition. Between the charge and insert there is an initiator made of nonmetallic high-disperse material pressed to power points.
EFFECT: invention increases safety and heat resistance while maintaining high initiating power thereof.
