FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of polymer chemistry and relates to a wear-resistant material that can be used in the area of the contacting surfaces of the shaft and hub. Wear-resistant material consists of at least one plastic layer, which is located on the contacting surfaces of the shaft and the hub. Plastics provide at least partial electrochemical insulation and separation of shaft and hub materials. Method according to which plastics are applied to at least some parts of the contacting surfaces of the shaft and/or hub in the form of a film or in the form of a solution followed by drying to a layer or in the form of a plastic-coated or impregnated and cured/cross-linked laminate.
EFFECT: invention allows to propose a wear-resistant material for shaft-hub systems in order to prevent corrosion and “sticking” of the shaft and hub materials in these systems to a significant extent.
