SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, in particular to a surgical instrument for transecting and fixing tissue. Said surgical instrument is made with the possibility of transecting and fixing tissue and contains a transecting fastener, wherein said transecting fastener includes a pair of legs, a crown portion and at least one blade. Said pair of legs is adapted to grip tissue, each pair of legs having a first end and a second end. Said crown portion combines the pair of legs at their first ends. Said crown portion is made with the possibility of deformation and is made of a deformable material, made with the possibility of ensuring and maintaining the deformation of the crown portion. At least one blade is located on each pair of legs, wherein at least one blade, located on each pair of legs, is of such a size as to cover at least a portion of the length of the corresponding leg from the pair of legs and to form a pair of oppositely directed blades made with the possibility of joint transection of tissue between the pair of legs, when the staples close on tissue. Each pair of legs contains a prong and an anchor, each of the prongs and anchors being adapted to penetrate and fasten in tissue and grab tissue. Each prong and anchor is sharp and hook-shaped. Each prong extends to the other prong from the second end of the corresponding leg of the pair of legs. Each anchor extends to a different anchor from the section of the corresponding leg of the pair of legs between its first and second ends.
