FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering and can be used to convert DC energy into AC energy. Energy conversion system (10) contains a set of modules (14) connected in series, each of which has at least one DC power source. Each module (14) is equipped with storage device (18) for storing energy from a power source, and voltage control circuit (19) in each module (14) switches the storage device in such a way so that the module outputs the maximum voltage of the module or the minimum voltage of the module to provide a stepwise approximation of the electrical network signal. In series with modules (14), compensator block (20) is connected, containing a storage device charging from power sources. During the delivery of the maximum or minimum voltage to the system by each of modules (14), the control unit ensures a smooth increasing or lowering the voltage between the input and output of compensator unit (20) to follow the desired AC waveform. Control unit acts on module (14) in such a way that it changes the output voltage from zero to maximum or minimum value, or vice versa, the control unit through the voltage control circuit of the compensator produces a corresponding, but opposite change in the voltage supplied by block (20) of the compensator.

EFFECT: technical result is an improved quality of energy conversion.
