FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to biotechnology. Proposed is an Escherichia sp. microorganism having L-tryptophan production capability, where the activities of endogenous 6-phospho-gluconate dehydratase (Edd) and 2-keto-3-deoxy-6-phospho-gluconate aldolase (Eda) are weakened or inactivated, where the microorganism has an enhanced PPP (pentose phosphate path) by means of a weak or blocked Entner-Dudoroff path. Proposed is a method for obtaining L-tryptophan using the specified microorganism.
EFFECT: group of inventions allows to increase the production of L-tryptophan compared to the parent unmodified microorganism.
