FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: use for detecting low concentrations of various gases and volatile compounds. Essence of the invention lies in the fact that the gas UHF sensor contains a microstrip line with a grounding metal layer and a resonator with a layer of gas-active material on its surface, the resonator is made in the form of a microstrip comb capacitor built into the gap of the microstrip line between its input and output, and the loop element, UHF sensor contains a control circuit, which consists of a p-i-n diode, an electric filter element and a control voltage source, a microwave sensor contains a metal base on which a microstrip line, a p-i-n diode and an electric filter element are placed, one end of the loop element is connected to the output of the microstrip line, and the second end of the loop element is connected to the metal base, the negative pole of the p-i-n diode is connected to the metal base, and the positive pole of the p-i-n diode is connected to a source of control voltage through a filter element, with the loop element circling the p-i-n diode in one or more turns, and the grounding metal layer of the microstrip line is galvanically connected to the metal base.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of increasing the sensitivity of the gas UHF sensor in a wide range of concentrations of the test gas.
