FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to ophthalmology, and can be used for diagnostics of retinal and optic nerve toxicity in narcotic intoxication. It is followed by ophthalmoscopy. At that, spectral optical coherent (SOCT) Cirrus HD-OCT is additionally carried out using software version 4.5.1.11. ONH scanning was carried out using Optic Disc Cube 200×200 protocol, macular area of retina using Macula Thickeness OU Macular Cube protocol 512×128. If the patient with a sharp bilateral vision loss of 0.2 and less, the thickness of the layer of nerve fibers of the peripapillary area of the retina of each eye is 98 mcm and more in combination with average thickness of central zone of retina 220 mcm and less and depression of ellipsoidal area of photoreceptors of macular area of retina of both eyes, then toxic retinal and optic nerve damage of both eyes is diagnosed in drug intoxication.

EFFECT: method provides diagnostics of retinal and optic nerve toxicity in narcotic intoxication ensured by the declared diagnostic criteria.
