SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical industry, namely to a method for determining duration of chemotherapy for respiratory organs in children and adolescents. Method for determining the duration of chemotherapy for respiratory organs in children and adolescents, where a chemotherapy course is carried out with prescribing a combination of at least 5 antituberculous preparations for treating respiratory tuberculosis in children and adolescents, where 1.5–2 months after the beginning of the treatment, a drug susceptibility test for tuberculosis mycobacteria is prepared for anti-tuberculosis drugs in children and adolescents receiving an empirical chemotherapy regimen, and in the presence of sensitivity to at least three of the preparations used in treating a combination of anti-tuberculosis preparations to obtain a test result, eliminating drugs from the combination, to which drug resistance of tuberculosis mycobacteria is determined, instead of which drugs are administered in the combination, to which drug sensitivity of tuberculosis mycobacteria is determined, and the prescribed duration of chemotherapy is not increased.

EFFECT: proposed method is effective for determination of duration of chemotherapy of respiratory organs.
