FIELD: biochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biochemistry, in particular, to a protein that makes a plant resistant to phenoxy-auxin, a gene encoding the above protein, as well as an expression cassette and a vector containing the above gene. Method of producing the above protein is also disclosed. Invention also relates to a method for expanding a target spectrum of herbicides, a method for selecting plant cells, a method for controlling weeds, as well as to a method of protecting plants from damage caused by herbicides, involving the use of the above protein or gene.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to effectively give the plant resistance to phenoxy-auxin.
