SUBSTANCE: according to some options of implementation the method of activation and deactivation of numerous secondary cells includes reception of the first message requesting activation or deactivation of the first secondary cell (the first SCell) for the first carrier. In response to the first message, the first procedure for activation or deactivation of the first SCell is initiated. A wireless device may have the first delay period (Tactivate_basic), within which the first procedure has to be completed. At implementation of the first procedure of activation or deactivation of the first SCell the second message for activation, deactivation, configuration or a unconfiguration of the second SCell for the second carrier is accepted. In response to reception of the second message for activation, deactivation, configuration, or unconfiguration of the second SCell, the first procedure can be modified by replacing the first delay period by the second delay period (Tactivate_total) within which the first procedure for activation or deactivation of the first SCell has to be completed. The second delay period (Tactivate_total) can be longer than the first delay period (Tactivate_basic).

EFFECT: more efficient and accurate activation or deactivation of the SCell even during a request for activation, deactivation, configuration or configuration of one or more additional SCell.
