SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of computing equipment designed for displaying on an auto-stereoscopic monitor. In the method, the technical result is achieved by displaying a number of N basic images of the displayed scene, which, respectively, show the displayed image from different viewing angles, providing an image mask for each basic image, each of which has the size of a native screen resolution of the monitor or a partial area of the monitor, weighting the individual basic images pixel by pixel or subpixel by subpixel with the values of the respectively associated image mask, and then adding them to the raster image, determining the current normal distance of the viewer from the monitor perpendicular to the plane of the monitor screen, and determining the stretch factor depending on the determined current normal distance and the nominal distance of the monitor.
EFFECT: stereoscopic accuracy on an auto-stereoscopic monitor.
