FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: usage: for the manufacture of contact lenses with a modifying surface. Essence of the invention lies in the fact that the contact lens with a modified surface has a hysteresis of boundary wetting angles of the surface of less than 15° and contains the body of the lens and the first surface-modifying layer, located on the lens body surface, the first surface-modifying layer contains the first reactive hydrophilic polymer, the lens body surface has the first functional group or the second functional group, and the first reactive hydrophilic polymer has a third functional group or a fourth functional group, first covalent transverse bond is formed between the surface of the lens body and the first surface modifying layer, the first covalent cross link is formed by the reaction of the first functional group or the second functional group of the surface of the lens body with the third functional group or the fourth functional group of the first reactive hydrophilic polymer.
EFFECT: technical result: providing the possibility of improved wettability of the lens surface.
