FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to silicone acrylamide copolymers applicable in medical devices. Copolymer for use in ophthalmic lenses, formed from a reactive mixture containing radically polymerisable components and comprising (A) a multifunctional (meth)acrylamide monomer having at least one siloxane bond and at least two (meth)acrylamide groups within the molecule, (B) monofunctional linear silicone (meth)acrylamide monomer and (C) non-silicone hydrophilic monomer as a copolymerisation component. Ophthalmic lens material, an ophthalmic lens, and contact lenses made from the disclosed copolymer are also disclosed.
EFFECT: disclosed copolymer has a high acrylamide monomer content, is transparent and has a low modulus of elasticity at the same time.
