FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an upper luggage compartment for an aircraft. Upper baggage compartment for the aircraft contains the upper and lower elements of the baggage compartment, the holding device, the lifting spring and the locking device. Lower element is adapted to move between a closed position and an open position. Holding device is used to hold the lower element in the closed position. Locking device locks the lifting spring in a compressed state in the open position of the lower element of the luggage compartment. To unlock the locking device in the open position of the lower element of the luggage compartment is provided with a control knob. With the assistance of a lifting spring or a lifting spring fixed in a compressed state, the lower element of the luggage compartment is adapted to move from the open position towards the closed position.
EFFECT: increased ease of use.
