SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method and device for motion control. Device implementing a motion control method comprises a first detector made with the ability to detect interference near the considered vehicle moving in the first lane of movement, and a second detector configured to detect a second lane adjacent to the first lane. Device includes a controller that sets the first range in the target position for changing lanes in the second lane. Controller detects the range in the second lane as the second range. Vehicle in question is authorized to change lanes when the second range includes the first range. Controller determines the environment of the vehicle in question, obtains the level of necessity of lane change, and performs the adjustment of the first and second ranges.
EFFECT: provides a definition of the necessity of changing lanes.
